Baby it's Cold Outside
Fall is here and so is the cooler weather. Halloween is almost upon us which means that the holidays are approaching! So to get ready for Thanksgiving I made these cute cards from a couple of Stampin Up sets both old and new.
This first cards is made with the Gently Falling set. I used the shadowing method to make the leaves stand out more. To do this stamp a second time directly adjacent to the initial stamp and presto pow you have a shadow. The base 8.5in x 5.5in card stock is crumb cake, the early espresso paper was cut in 4in x 5.25in with the whisper white on top cut at 3.75in x 5in. From the gently falling stamp set the Give Thanks greeting was stamped on crumb cake in early espresso. I then just used the label punch and punched it out adhering to the card with a couple dimensional. For ink you see early espresso, cherry cobbler, crushed curry and sahara sand.

On the flip side I had some real red paper that needed to be used up so I made these cards. The base is Real Red card stock 8.5in x 5.5in, the second layer is rich razzleberry 4in x 5.25in and the whisper white 3.75in x 5in. The three colors that I used for the leaves are Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Perfect Plum.
Then switching to the Harvest Blessing set I decided to color this pumpkin in to give it a little pop of color. For the background I used the gently falling leaves again used my early espresso ink stamped then continued to stamp until the ink was almost gone changing the direction of the leaves and the overlap.
This card had a few more moving parts in that more layers had to be cut. The base layer was pumpkin pie 8.5in x 5.50in with early espresso 4in x 5.25in, then the whisper white layer for stamping 3.75in x 5in. the two inside square pieces are early espresso and whisper white I cut mine at three inches and 2.75 inches.
My final card of the day was a whammy, super cute all in all but very labor intensive as all the cute cards usually are. The base layer was done in yellow 8.5in x 5.50in with pumpkin pie cut at 5.25in x 4in. The whisper white that was stamped was cut at 5in x 3.75in. Then I used the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set. With this stamp set I used pumpkin pie, crushed curry, rich razzleberry and garden green stamp pads.
