For The Bride
A dear friend of mine is getting married soon so I'm starting to play around with the idea of wedding cards. Their wedding is a winter wedding and the colors are different but I figured that this would be a great easy bridal shower card. There are a lot of moving pieces to this card so I figured we would start with what to cut out and how much to stamp.
The base card is in pool party card stock and measures in at 5.5" by 4.25". The layer that will sit directly on top of the base card is in whisper white measuring 4" by 5.25" and run through a BigShot using the chevron print embossing folder. This just gives this card some really cute texture so that the card doesn't look flat.
For on top of the white we will cut four pieces. I took two left over Designer Series papers you can use whatever you like or think looks good. The two that I used were Marble madness and Sweater Weather. I layered these two pieces of DSP on top of more pool party card stock and Crumb Cake card stock.
I used the Flower Shop Clear-Mount Set for this card and the associated punch. The paper that I stamped it on is Calypso Coral with the same ink. The two smaller flowers came from Falling Flowers Stamp set and cut them out by hand with my Stampin Up Snips.
The Bunch of Banners Thinlet Dies cut out the saying and the saying came from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set. The outside of the banner is from pool party card stock. The saying sits on Whisper White. They will fit perfectly within each other. Only down-side to cutting the pieces like this is that you have a bunch of left over scraps for other cards. Bummer I have to make more cards, kidding it's a great excuse.
The leaves for behind the cards are in a Crumb Cake Card stock using the Leaf Punch from the Painted Harvest Set. You can buy it separately, but I got it with the stamp set and saved 10%. Super easy just cut the paper to size and punch its all cut out. I love when pieces are just that simple.
Snail all of your pieces together and tada you have this super cute card ready to go with the saying of your choice! Happy Crafting Everyone!
